Sell your trucking company before your authority is revoked.
If your authority is still active, we can still make a cash offer, and we move first on files with a cancellation date. Most sales close in 7–10 days.

What to do right now
Four steps, in this order. The one that matters most: don’t let coverage lapse before closing.
- 1
Enter your USDOT number
See your estimate in about 30 seconds. If FMCSA shows a pending cancellation, we flag your file as urgent automatically.
- 2
Tell us your effective date
It’s on the notice from your insurer or FMCSA. We put files with the closest dates first and send a firm offer within one business day.
- 3
Keep coverage active until closing
Don’t let the policy lapse while we close. At closing our insurance is filed, then you can cancel yours.
- 4
Get paid through escrow
We deposit the full price at Escrow.com before you sign anything over. It’s released to you at closing.
How the clock works
When your insurer cancels, it files a notice with FMCSA. Your authority stays active until the cancellation’s effective date. If no replacement coverage is on file by then, FMCSA revokes the authority.
Once it’s revoked, nobody can buy it until it’s reinstated. That’s why the date on your notice is the most important number in your file.

Questions about cancellations
Can you buy my company if my insurance is being cancelled?
Yes, as long as the authority is still active on FMCSA’s records. Your insurance has to stay in force until closing. At closing our insurer files our coverage, and once it shows active you can cancel your policy.
What if the cancellation takes effect before we can close?
Then the authority would be revoked and we couldn’t buy it until it’s reinstated. If your effective date is close, paying the premium to keep the policy in force (or having the insurer withdraw the cancellation) for a little longer is usually worth far less than the sale price. Tell us your date on day one and we’ll plan around it.
My authority was already revoked. Is it too late?
Not always. A revoked authority can often be reinstated by getting insurance back on file and paying FMCSA’s reinstatement fee. Send us your USDOT number and we’ll tell you whether it’s worth doing before you spend anything.
How fast can we close?
Most sales close in 7 to 10 days after you accept the firm offer. The main steps are signing the purchase agreement, funding escrow and signing the company over.
How do I get paid?
The purchase price is deposited with a licensed escrow service before you sign anything over. It is released to you when the transfer documents are signed.
Don’t wait for the effective date
The earlier we see your file, the more options you have.
